Data Sources

The server reads the request IP address and headers such as User-Agent, Accept-Language, X-Forwarded-For, X-Real-IP, and related proxy headers.

The site uses local MaxMind GeoLite2 City, Country, and ASN databases for country, city, timezone, coordinate, ASN, organization, and network information.

GeoLite2 data is provided by MaxMind and may be incomplete or approximate.

proxycheck.io is used to provide proxy, VPN, Tor, risk score, and network classification signals. These labels are informational and may not always match the user's real intent or network setup.

The browser-side check uses standard web APIs, including navigator, screen, Intl timezone APIs, Canvas, WebGL, AudioContext, plugins, fonts, and WebRTC ICE candidates where available.

DNS leak detection uses a unique token subdomain under dns.myiprisk.com and a lightweight authoritative DNS service operated for this tool. Resolver IPs are shown so users can understand which DNS resolver queried the token domain.
